This pick is the finest thin casein teardrop in the industry. It's truly astounding. If you're into bringing out the best wooden tone your instrument can produce in a recording studio, you'll never find a better pick. This is the closest legal alternative to genuine tortoise you will find in the entire pick industry -- I'll stake my reputation on it.
Everyone says their picks "sound like tortoise shell," but consider this. I bought my first TS picks from McCabe's Guitars in 1977, after the international CITES treaty was signed by 150 nations and they were clearing out their inventory. Check it out: I've been playing TS picks longer than most of my competitors have been alive. I know what a TS sounds and feels like; I know it like my own heartbeat. And NO pick captures it better.
Here's a trippy thing to consider. Casein is make from a Mammalian protein: tortoise shell is made from a Reptilian protein. If one considers evolution, one could reach a reasonable conclusion that these two natural materials have a similar molecular structure.
Our thin casein models are (still) mostly fabricated mostly by hand -- they are a true artisan product, folks. NO ONE does this kind of work other than CLP.
Please allow 3-4 weeks to build these. It may sound counter-intuitive, but thinner picks require more work and precision than thicker picks.
As always, this pick comes with FREE SHIPPING to your door.
Thanks for looking,

IMPORTANT: This pick is designed for light to normal playing, NOT heavy strumming or lead playing. Works best with light gauge strings and a lighter setup.
